Rays of Hope

Together with Rays of Hope (ROH) Center for Breast Cancer Research’s participation, HistoSpring has procured a high-quality breast and ovarian tissue biorepository to enable cancer research and the development of precision medicines.

Rays of Hope (ROH), a Springfield, MA charity supports breast health programs, outreach and educational initiatives, breast cancer research and grants.

ROH’s mission is to help identify multi-faceted lifestyle factors and environmental risks related to breast cancer causes through research initiatives.

Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Program (BCERP)

Researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, advocates, and parents join together to educate, promote awareness and support research about environmental exposures and potential effects of breast cancer risk.

BCERP’s, accelerating support is comprised by the joint efforts of National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), the National Cancer Institute, and the Windows of Susceptibility (WOS) projects.

Girls Inc.

Girls Inc. delivers valuable experiences to inspire girls. Eureka!, a signature STEM program for teen girls prepares them for career growth through institutional learning partnerships. Our partners Pioneer Valley Life Sciences Institute (PVLSI) and UMass Amherst hosted Eureka! teens for the incredible opportunity to study breast cancer. And with generous Girls Inc. support, Eureka! teens raised $860 at the Baystate Health’s Rays of Hope Walk & Run annual fundraiser toward the Cure of Breast Cancer.

UMass Amherst and Baystate Health supports HistoSpring’s biomedical research quest to develop collaborative pathways into advanced diagnostics.

Baystate Health collaborates in the development of the biorepository and collaborative clinical research.

UMass Amherst’s collaborative work with the Institute for Applied Life Sciences provides access to additional core facilities and expertise in the basic sciences.
